SCRIP Program – Earn Tuition Dollars With The Money You Already Spend!

Major national and regional retailers have agreed to sell their gift cards/certificates to schools at a discount.  For example, the discount for Speedway Gas Station Gift Cards is 4% (subject to change).  These cards are purchased through the Maumee Valley SCRIP website http://www.mvcds.4scrip.com/catalog/ at FULL price.  A $100 Gift Card would cost $100 via the website.  The Maumee Valley Parent Association then takes the $4 discount (4%) and applies most of the discount to specific student accounts or the annual fund.  The Parent Association does keep 10% to cover the cost of shipping and supplies.  The discounts are distributed to student accounts and the annual fund each October, February and May.  Each individual purchasing the gift cards/certificates has their own user account (you ask as many of your family and friends to sign up as you would like!).  Each user account asks the name of the student to receive the SCRIP credit. 

 

Once you have setup your online account, you can begin ordering the gift cards/certificates.  Please note:  Agreement to the terms and conditions of SCRIP program is ASSUMED once online ordering begins – there are no separate forms to sign and return. The order due dates are posted on the SCRIP website.  Orders can ONLY be placed online, they can’t be called in.  The order pickup dates are also posted on the SCRIP website, and payment is due at the time of pickup.  Payment must be made by check or money order.  Payment and pickup will be in the Business Office between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM daily.  If you have difficulty with the hours, please contact the Director of Finance to see if alternative arrangements can be made.

 

Kroger has a new program that Maumee Valley Parent Association participates in that provides SCRIP earnings.  You do NOT buy SCRIP gift cards/certificates with this program.  You register your Kroger Plus Shopping Card online at krogercommunityrewards.com and then follow these directions:

  • Click on Sign In/Register
  • Click on SIGN UP TODAY in the ‘New Customer?’ box
  • Sign up for a Kroger Rewards Account by entering zip code, clicking on favorite store, entering your email address and creating a password, agreeing to the terms and conditions
  • You will then get a message to check your email inbox and click on the link within the body of the email
  • Click on My Account and use your email address and password to proceed to the next step
  • Click on Edit Kroger Community Rewards information and input your Kroger Plus card number
  • Update or confirm your information.
  • Enter # 81803 (NPO number or name of organization) and click on confirm
  • To verify you are enrolled correctly, you will see your organization’s name on the right side of your information page
  • REMEMBER, purchases will not count for your group until after your member(s) register their card(s) AND members must swipe their registered Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count
  • Do you use your phone number at the register?  Call 877-576-7587 to get your Kroger Plus card number

*** Maumee Valley Parent Association CAN NOT guarantee the earnings from this program. The more the school spends with Kroger as a whole, the more the school earns as a percentage of the total Kroger payout to all schools in Northwest Ohio.  The payout to your student’s account or the annual fund is dependent on the earnings tied to your Kroger Plus Shopping Card as a percentage of the total Maumee Valley earnings.  You CAN ask your friends/families to register their Kroger cards to earn SCRIP dollars – BUT IF YOU DO NOT GIVE A LIST OF THESE NAMES TO KBEDI@MVCDS.NET , the earnings will be considered unassigned and a donation to the annual fund.  The earnings will be distributed from the Parent Association to the student accounts/annual fund on the same schedule as the main SCRIP program (October, February, May).
